Biography

Mark began playing drums at age three, and enjoyed a wide variety of musical experiences as a young person due to his parent's great support for the arts. He started his professional career at age thirteen when he became full time drummer for three time Grammy winner, Walter Ostanek. Later as a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Degree in Orchestral Music Performance, he gained much practical experience as an orchestral percussionist. Mark's seemingly boundless musical appreciation and experience has taken him musically to five continents; and allowed him the opportunity to work with such artists as Amy Sky, Chris Cummings, Adam Gregory, Rich Little and Ben Vereen. Mark now resides in Toronto, enjoying the challenge and adventure of being a full time drummer/percussionist and popular session musician.

Mark is currently touring with SONY/BMG artist Eva Avila, and is the studio and live TV drummer for CBC's Triple Sensation hit reality series. Mark is drum sub on Toronto's long running shows : 'We Will Rock You' and 'Dirty Dancing'. He is also the principal drummer for the Menopause Out Loud theatre production running in Toronto from June 2006.
